After impressing the crowd with their versatile acting skills, Bollywood celebrities Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon are all set for their initial collaboration. The duo has teamed up for Dinesh Vijan’s forthcoming production venture, Luka Chuppi. The romantic comedy has been led by Laxman Utekar. Recently a new song from the film premiered online.
Titled Duniyaa, the amorous track is a recreation of Khaab. Kriti and Kartik’s cool chemistry is the highlight of the track.
The movie narrates the story of how they opt for a live-in relationship rather than getting married and the problems they face after it. The film also stars Aparshakti Khurana in a very important function.
Kartik and Kriti’s first collaboration will hit the theatres on March 1 and will have a box office conflict with Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar’s Sonchiriya.
Nineties is the new classic and recreating songs from the era is the new recipe for chartbusters. Now, the upcoming romcom Luka Chuppi has kicked it into overdrive with several tunes in its album being recreations of’90s, regional and pop hits.
Dinesh Vijan describes it as a”curated album” wherein the tunes have been replicated with a contemporary touch to strike a chord with the crowd. “It combines with the theme of our film. I believe rather than placing one song in each film, it is better to put them all in a single.
Dinesh, who believes in the ability of first compositions, states that recreations have become an essential component of promotions. “The promotional window of films has come down from fourteen days to four weeks, so it’s essential for the music to gain popularity in a really short period. With all these movies releasing in a year, it is hard to be noticed and so, using familiar sound serves the purpose,” he reasons, including that he will constantly strive to remain original, if there’s a tune that flows with the story, he will recreate it.
