Notebook is an upcoming Hindi movie scheduled to be released on 29 Mar, 2019. The movie is directed at Nitin Kakkar and will feature Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl as lead characters.
Bumro, the latest song from Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl’s Notebook is a clear reminder of Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta’s Bumbro out of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 2000 film, Mission Kashmir, but the makers claim it isn’t a diversion. The third song of this movie premiered on Wednesday afternoon along with the first line as well as the song is a clear lift from the first. However, the lyrics are changed entirely and the music is majorly inspired by Kashmiri folk music.
Speaking about the tune, composer Vishal Mishra had said, “We did not wish to recreate the identical song (Bumro). So, we retained the original folk tune, but composed a new melody by means of a bit of Kashmiri instruments & influences. That is something we’ve done for the entire soundtrack of the movie.”
Notebook is about a couple who fall in love from the scenic valley of Kashmir, without ever meeting each other. Notebook launches actor Nutan’s granddaughter Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal, who is the son of Salman’s friend.
Pranutan had said while interacting with all media at the trailer preview of Notebook,”I’d give great deal of auditions for two and half years or so for lot of movies. I never used to say I am from a film family. With this film they understood I was Mohnish’s daughter. I gave a five-hour long audition for this movie. But they predicted some other women also because they had been like should they take me then it’ll be like ‘I’m from picture family’. So they auditioned some 80 to 100 women but Nitin sir felt I was the right choice.”
